Hey there Fallen ⚔️
It’s been a long time coming, and we’re super excited. The title is NOT a joke, we’ll be holding our Closed Alpha starting on November 25th 2023, and we want ALL OF YOU TO JOIN! Let’s get into the details.
TL;DR
Closed Alpha starts on November 25 and will run for three sessions.
ANYONE can join, just register via this form and join our Discord.
Closed Alpha will feature 7 Classes and 5 unique areas, each with their own monsters and items.
NFT integration will come in the future, NFT images will be added to Closed Alpha to represent what this will look like.
NFT communities will be able to show off their collection in-game if partnered with Primorden during the Closed Alpha period, and will secure their spot for the full release!
What you need to know
Primorden’s Closed Alpha will happen over three sessions, where the servers will be open for 48 hours at a time. So if you’re part of the Closed Alpha, you’ll be able to play on:
November 25, 2023 → November 26, 2023
November 30, 2023 → December 1, 2023
December 9, 2023 → December 10, 2023
If you’d like to join all three sessions, you can! But if you can only make it to one, that’s okay too. What we really want is for everyone who signs up to be able to experience it at least once.
How to join
Becoming one of our Alpha Tester Squad (community, pls help me come up with a better name 😂) is super simple. All you have to do is:
Receive your Alpha Tester Role
Make sure you double check the Discord handle you’ve sent in the survey so we can give it to you easily. And that’s it! Our server will be the best place to get frequent updates leading to the Closed Alpha dates.
And maybe, if you’re lucky, some of you will even be able to test the pre-alpha early…🤫 The only way to find out will be in our Server!
What will be in the Closed Alpha?
The World
Primorden’s Closed Alpha will feature a region known as “The Fall”. It’s part of the larger Kingdom of Solania, where your journey as Fallen will begin. You might have seen parts of these shown in Concept Art drawings and WIP gameplay clips we’ve posted, places like Fort Solania and the Cemetery. The Closed Alpha will include these in their fully filled-out forms, with monsters to fight and cool items to find!
We’ll also have a couple of new areas we haven’t shown at all, so you can look forward to experiencing this stuff for the first time!
The Gameplay
We’ll have 7 different classes for you to play, each with their own abilities and stats. Since this is a Closed Alpha, everything will be playable from the start; it’s up to you guys to go nuts! Each of these play quite differently, and have their own strengths and weaknesses in different situations.
There are also a TON of Items to craft with a variety of resources dropped by all the monsters. Some of these can absolutely change the tides of battle. After trying them out, you probably won’t want to go without them.
We honestly can’t wait to see what the Closed Alpha Class and Item meta will evolve into. We have some predictions, but we’ll leave it to you…
The Lineage System
Integrating NFTs from communities across the Solana ecosystem is one of the biggest visions for Primorden: to become a gaming portal for all communities to interact, play together, and absolutely stomp each other in PvP. For now, the ability to log in with an NFT in your wallet isn’t quite done yet — we wanted to prioritize building out Primorden’s world and gameplay before this.
We will still have Lineages in the Closed Alpha, but they won’t require any NFT verification. Instead they’ll be changeable at a certain NPC, to allow the community to experience what the final product of multiple NFT communities playing together might feel like. We’ll be partnering with some projects for Closed Alpha to put their NFTs in the game!
FAQ
Why is the game only available for 2-day sessions and not longer? Why only 3 sessions?
It gives us a more controlled environment to test our core gameplay loop and address any big issues that pop up prior to the next test session.
Will the Closed Alpha be free-to-play?
Yes! Once you’ve registered via our form and joined our server, all you need to do is just show up on the day.
Why can’t we log in with NFTs yet?
Our priority for Closed Alpha is test how fun the core gameplay loop is. We will be adding NFT integration in Closed Beta.
Will the Primorden Origins be ready by Closed Alpha?
We plan to start revealing them sometime next year.
What happens after Closed Alpha is done?
By the time players are testing Closed Alpha, our team will be hard at work getting Closed Beta ready to test. We’ll make an announcement for Closed Beta when we’re ready.
We CAN’T WAIT to play Primorden with all of you this November. We’ll definitely be able to get up to some shenanigans and start repping all of our communities on the battlefield in glorious PvP.
Remember, this isn’t a final release yet! It’s still a work-in-progress, with a lot that’s subject to change, and a HUGE part of how this game will evolve is through feedback from our players. We’re looking forward to hearing what you have to say!
